One of the things I like the most about living in NY is the amazing opportunity I get to meet great book authors (ok, sometimes not so great) at book signings! I lost count of how many times I waited in line for a chance to see them read pages of their books out loud, to get my book signed and with luck, a photo!
This past year I had the joy to meet a few authors and some of them I was able to take my camera with me to capture a few moments! I have a blog dedicated to brazilians who are coming to NYC so everyone loves when I post events like these and I feel lucky for representing fans here and sharing with them a little bit of my life and the amazing people I am lucky to meet and work with.
Hope you like them as much as I did!
Meeting Caroline Manzo
Caroline Manzo invited fans to meet her at Barnes and Noble to launch her new book "Let Me Tell You Something" in Downtown Manhattan. The event wasn't a success in terms of attendees but was a great opportunity for her to engage with readers and take pictures with all of them who left the event feeling happy for meeting her.
Meeting Nicholas Sparks
I love Nicholas Sparks. Yes, I'm that girl who reads most of his books when they appear on the big screens and dream about meeting all the "Jhons" he creates for us! This Past month he hosted a meet and greet for fans at Barnes and Noble in Union Square and the event was a success. Unfortunately some fans weren't able to take a picture with him (I find this such a negative thing.) and some did. I was there to document the event for my blog so I was focused on work but I confess if love to have a nice picture with the man who inspires so many girls to be themselves and believe in true love!
Meeting Soleil Moon Frye
The girl with a unusual and beautiful name also known as Punky Brewster. Growing up in brazil this show was such a hot and inspired me to one day love in America :) so I owe her a lot for that. Being able to meet her was an amazing experience and see her involved in so many things even after all these years is just amazing! She just released her new book "let's get This party Started" I was thrilled to cover the event and of course meet and be photographed with my childhood idol :)
