Mexican Popstar Launches Her New Book in New York!

Forget Disney, New York is the place where all dreams come true. I've been living here since 2010  and year after year I see my dreams becoming a reality, from the simple  to the most extravagant ones! One of them was to meet my childhood idol, Thalia, I've been a fan of her since I was nine years old and meeting her at her first book signing for "Growying Stronger" was definately a dream come true! But if you are not from a "latino background" you might be worndering who she is. Besides being married to the powerful Tomy Motolla, Thalia is a Mexican singer, actress, businesswoman and author who just launched her first book for children, "Chupie, The Binky That Returned Home", an old dream she had. I had the pleasure to photograph and meet her again yesterday at the New York Public Library where held a meet and greet for her fans. The event was a huge success and It was proof that when you have a dream and work for it, It can come true like mine and hers did.

Thalia started her career as a child star, singing in a kids band back in Mexico. She grew up to be a very famous actress and her soap operas were extremely famous in Brazil, where I am from. I always related to her and for some reason that science might explain, I've became a huge fan. That kind of (embarrassing) fan who cried a river when met her for the first time after twelve (12!!!) years dreaming about it! Yep. I have awful pictures that show my ugly crying face. But I don't care. Happiness isn't enough to describe that moment :) She is such an inspiration to me and millions of fans! 

Yesterday was the third time I got to see her in person and I wasn't that nervous anymore, obviously. It's funny how you get used to it. I think it's like that feeling of passion, the first time your hands get sweaty, your heart beats go crazy, you don't know what to say but that as time passes, it slowly progress and becomes a strong love. "The passion" might be gone but my love and admiration for her keeps growing. And that is a beautiful feeling.

Perez Hilton came with his adorable son to the party to greet his friend Thalia and get a copy of her book!

She received present and love from her fans who came from other parts of the country and even from other countries!

This fan came from Mexico just to meet Thalia for the third time! She also showed her a tattoo she has with her name!

And this is me and Thalia! I set up the camera and handed to her body guard to take it for me and hoped for the best :) How beautiful is she??
